Growing up in small-town Wisconsin, my annual family fishing trips "up north" sparked my curiosity about rod manufacturing.

Visiting a factory, I noticed drumloads of rod blanks, prompting me to wonder about building my own. After experimenting and selling ice fishing rods online successfully, I delved deeper into the craft year after year, honing my skills and expanding sales. Encouraged by others, I transformed my hobby into a business, founding Hackett Rods.
