Frequently Asked Questions
-
Does my ice rod order come with something to secure the reel?We do not provide anchor rings with an ice rod purchase. We recognize that everyone has their own preference. We don't include a securing method for a reel because of that. However, we do have anchor rings for purchase on our "Rod Accessories" page, where you can add some to your purchase.

What are the advantages of a custom-built fishing rod over a factory-made one?- Custom-built fishing rods offer personalized specifications tailored to your preferences and fishing style. - They often feature higher quality components and materials compared to mass-produced factory rods. - Custom rods can provide better performance and durability, as they are designed specifically for your needs.
-
How do I choose the right blank (rod blank) for my custom fishing rod?- Consider factors such as rod length, power, action, and material (graphite, fiberglass, etc.) based on your fishing application and personal preference. - If your still stuck on what to do, reach out to us and we are more than willing to help you figure out the perfect rod for your fishing application.
-
What is the difference between "Power" and "Action"?Power of a fishing rod is basically the stiffness. Power indicates how much force it will take to max out the bend of the rod blank. Action is all about where the "backbone" of the rod ends and the "action" part starts. Action determines how far along the rod you will achieve a bend while loading up a rod.
-
What is the "Backbone" of a fishing rod?The "Backbone" is the unbendable portion of the fishing rod. For example with a slow action rod, the backbone will be shorter and the bend or parabola of the rod will be through most of the rod. With a fast action the backbone will be longer and the bendable part will be shorter.
